EXPO- lengthy discussion-tabled until September
J. Monk moves and C. Smith seconds to not do EXPO in 2020. Motion does not carry.
Discussion centered on the fact that our previous organizer has decided not to supervise the Expo any more. We need someone or some folks to take up the slack and do the legwork and planning that's required.
An additional factor in the discussion was a “reboot" for the Expo. A survey of members was suggested to see what they want from the Expo. Suggestions that we “return to roots" and consider it mainly as an event for our Members more than the “general public" or tourists.
President Shriner asked for those in support of continuing Expo (February 2020) , to draft a plan for organizing and supervising EXPO, to be presented at the September 16th monthly KCFA Board meeting.
Meeting adjourned 4:05
Respectfully Submitted;
C. Smith- stand-in Secretary
- Gardiner – stand-in Asst. Secretary
