Kona Restoration Farm

Sustainable coffee and chocolate

Kona Restoration Farm is a small coffee and cacao farm focused on organic farming practices. We use the principles of regenerative agriculture to rebuild our soils, combating climate change through improved carbon capture and reduced industrial inputs. With approximately five acres of coffee and cacao orchards, KRF is also home to other diverse crops (including macadamia nut, avocado, citrus, banana, star fruit, and pineapple), and several acres of native forest. While old 'ōhi'a trees still dominate the overstory of these forest patches, much of the understory has been choked out by invasive species. Our long-term goal is to restore this unique habitat by removing invasives and planting natives, providing an important “stepping stone” habitat for native birds, pollinators, and other wildlife.
